“Always think on the bright side no matter what life brings to your day. You’ll gain a treasure within your soul that no worry or hardship can ever take away.” – Isaac Purcell
Hello. So many wonderful things have been happening since we last updated this website. On January 13, 2014 we donated an additional four iPads (minis) to Melodies Center, Albany, New York. On January 24, 2014 we donated an additional four iPads (minis) to NYU Langone Medical Center’s Long Island infusion center, Lake Success, New York. And, on March 30, 2014 inTouch goes national. We will be donating four iPads (minis) to Health First Cancer Services, Melbourne, Florida. We have now donated forty-four iPads to seven cancer care centers throughout the U.S. We could not have done this without your support. We here at inTouch want to give you, our kind and generous donors, a rousing round of applause. Thank you.
On a personal note, January 27th marked the second anniversary of my surgery. I am so grateful to be here. Thank you Dr. Douglas Scherr and all the medical professionals of Weill Cornell/New York Presbyterian who have gotten me this far into my survivorship. Thank you to my family and friends who have been with me every step of the way. On Tuesday, February 11th inTouch will be featured on Fios 1 News’ Heroes on Our Island.
If you are a cancer survivor or are currently undergoing cancer care, and live on Long Island, you may want to check out Strength to Strength or call Randy Hight,LMSW, at (516) 484-1545, ext. 213. This program provides dialogue, exercise and support to those who have battled cancer.
